A place called "Guaimaca"
If you travel approximately 2 hours northwest from the capital of Tegucigalpa, Honduras in Central America you will arrive at a place called “Guaimaca” (gwi-mă-că) in the Department of Francisco Morazan.
In this small town, the Diocese of Fall River serves the parish community of St. Rose of Lima by the presence of the Honduran Mission Team. The Team is comprised of the Pastor, and four Dominican Sisters of the Presentation. Though various ministries and charitable works, the Team seeks to meet the many needs of the poorest of the poor, putting into practice the commandment of Jesus: Love one another.
